Zarpana Rietman, Principal
Dear Windmill Springs School Community,
It continues to be an honor to introduce myself, Zarpana Rietman, as the Principal of Windmill Springs School. As a parent and educator, this is a significant responsibility and one that I am very excited to have. Our mission at WIndmill Springs School is to ensure every student is at or above grade level. We will prepare students to be viable competitors in the 21st century economy by ensuring all eighth graders are prepared and well-equipped to be successful in high school.
We at Windmill not only consider ourselves educators but practitioners of instilling the love of lifelong learning and humanitarianism in each and every student. Our school culture has structures aligned with encouraging open communications, preventing bullying with immediate home-school interventions, providing students with experiences that will broaden their horizons and constantly looking to improve our practices, keeping updated with the latest research and tools offered to educators.
On a personal note, I have two amazing daughters and love spending my free time with them. I started in education as a middle school math teacher in a local school district. My passion for being instrumental in implementing change in the educational system drove me to earn my Master’s degree in educational leadership, eventually paving my path from being a Program Improvement Administrator in an elementary school, Assistant Principal of a middle school, Principal of an elementary school, Director of Educational Services at the district level to my Principalship and Windmill. Having a varied experience in transforming schools and creating systems to ensure excellence in student achievement, I have learned that it indeed does take a village to raise a child. I believe that Windmill embodies this sentiment.
Myself and the Windmill Team look forward to working closely with parents, guardians and all stakeholders to ensure that our children are provided with nothing short of the best in education and life!

I am a believer in working together to address and solve any concerns, big or small. I extend my open-door policy to parents, guardians and community members. Please feel free to come in to address anything. Again, I am honored to be the principal of our outstanding school and look forward to working with all of you during the year.
